These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of this website and to quotes and services provided by AK Security Ltd. (“AK Security”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using this website, requesting a quote or booking a service, you agree to these Terms. If a signed agreement or accepted quote with us says something different, that document takes priority.

1. Our services

We supply, install, maintain and repair security, access control, CCTV, alarm, intercom, automatic door and related low-voltage systems for residential, commercial and construction clients. The exact scope of any job is set out in your quote or agreement.

2. Quotes and estimates

Quotes are based on the information available to us at the time and may change after a site assessment.
Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
Work not included in the accepted quote, or changes you request during the job, may be charged as extra work. We will tell you before carrying it out.

3. Scheduling and site access

You agree to give our technicians safe, reasonable access to the site at the agreed time.
If a visit cannot go ahead because of lack of access or site conditions outside our control, a call-out or rescheduling fee may apply.
You are responsible for any approvals needed from landlords, strata councils or property managers before work starts.

4. Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit, are set out in your quote or invoice. Equipment remains our property until paid for in full. We may charge interest on overdue amounts and pause work or service on accounts that are not paid on time.

5. Equipment and warranties

Equipment we supply is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Our workmanship warranty, where offered, is described in your quote or agreement.
Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, power surges, weather, unauthorized changes or repairs by others, or normal wear and tear.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for using cameras, recordings and access control data lawfully, including meeting any privacy law obligations and posting required signage.
Keep passwords, codes, cards and fobs secure, and tell us promptly if you notice a fault.
Follow the operating instructions we or the manufacturer provide.

7. Third-party and monitoring services

Some systems rely on third-party services such as cloud platforms, apps, internet connections or alarm monitoring. These are provided under the third party’s own terms. We are not responsible for interruptions or failures of services we do not control.

8. Limitation of liability

Security systems are designed to reduce risk, but no system can guarantee that loss, damage, theft or injury will not happen. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
